Saturday I was able to witness what baseball in america is all about, it’s about drive , determination and overall sportsmanship. I saw young men who helped lift their teammates spirits after defeat and mistakes, trying to scratch claw and fight for hits , and runs. Chugiak Post 33 and Kenai Post 20 slugged it out in a double header with Kenai winning the 2012 American Legion Alaska Title. It was a drizzly day that tested the mental and psychical  limits of each team and coaching staff, quoting one chugiak coach ” this is what state championship baseball is all about boys” ..I took more than 700 pictures of the 2 games I attended, and can say from a photographers pointof view this is some of the best work i have done with sports. It had it all ..drama , excitement and both the joy of winning and the agony of defeat. I was only able to stay for the first game since I had a family matter that I had to attend to..I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I did taking them. Sometimes as adults we forget the simplist lessons..You play the game because you love the game …nothing more nothing less..
