Module8 FM is a modular airblast frame-machine family for in-line treatment of light and medium components. One to four frames, configurable holders and robot- or linear-guided nozzles support multi-sided cleaning, stripping, texturing and coating preparation.
| Technology | Airblast |
|---|---|
| Process | In-line |
| Duty | Light/medium components |
| Frame capacity | Up to 4 frames |
| Loading | Automatic or manual |
| Part motion | Vertical and horizontal rotation |
| Nozzle guidance | Linear or robot-guided |
| Internal blasting | Optional integrated blast lances |
FM layouts range from one to four frames, including versions in which one or two frames move in front of the nozzles. Alternating-frame operation allows loading while another frame is processed.
Holders can be matched to different workpieces and changed manually when production changes.
Frames rotate workpieces around vertical and horizontal axes so multiple sides can be treated without a separate setup. Nozzles may follow linear axes or industrial robots, and internal-blast lances can be integrated for pipes and cavities.
Typical parts include shafts, axle tubes, rear-axle carriers, aircraft structural parts, landing-gear components and gas-turbine blades.
The ground-level modular construction avoids a dedicated pit in the documented concept. Walk-in chamber access, replaceable frame wear protection and media recovery below the frames support maintenance and operator separation from spent abrasive.
