Polishing construction

A yellow wool face is supported by a dark-yellow foam interface. The foam softens the pad response compared with a direct wool construction, while the edge bevel improves control around contours.

Machine compatibility

The pad is listed for orbital, gear-driven and rotary tools, with 8, 15 and 21 mm orbital throws. Compatible five-inch hook plates are 500Y and 558Y; select the correct 5/16-24 or 5/8-11 connection for the machine.

One-step workflow

Choose a compound or polish compatible with the coating and required finish.
Prime the wool evenly, then work a test section before processing the full panel.
Clean the pile between sections to limit residue-induced haze.
Inspect the foam interface and loop face after cleaning and before reuse.
