MoviPol-5 is a portable electrolytic polishing and etching system for non-destructive metallographic field preparation. It can prepare an inspection surface in less than one minute and provides up to 1.5 hours of battery operation for work on large structures, welds and other locations that cannot be brought to a laboratory.

The system is intended for direct preparation of critical surfaces on large structures, including welded joints and pipeline components. Electrolytic preparation removes only a small amount of material and can support on-site examination or a replica for later laboratory analysis.
Activating the polishing pistol starts the electrolytic reaction; after polishing, the system proceeds automatically to etching. Up to 20 methods can be stored, including predefined settings that may be adjusted for a specific material or inspection routine.
A non-return valve restricts electrolyte flow to active operation. A tilt sensor warns when the unit is inclined by more than 45 degrees. A built-in LED illuminates the working area for visual control.
