WEBER MK is a heavy-duty plate-processing machine for large, heavy or distorted flame- and plasma-cut workpieces. Its modular frame accepts up to four stations for grinding, brushing, slag removal, deburring and edge rounding.
| Machine type | Heavy-plate grinding and deburring machine |
|---|---|
| Workpiece thickness | 3–120 mm |
| Processing stations | Up to 4 |
| Working widths | Four available widths |
| Primary parts | Large, heavy and distorted plate |
| Processes | Grinding, brushing, slag removal, deburring and rounding |
| Cross-belt distortion capability | Up to 10 mm |
| Cross-belt drive | 13 kW |
| Cross-belt speed | Up to 20 m/s |
The machine is built around large plate and thermally cut components, including workpieces with distortion. A robust modular frame supports up to four processing stations and workpieces up to 120 mm thick.
The STC stud-grinding concept combines sanding-beam compliance with contact-roller cutting action for heavy plate. Planetary slag-hammer and grinding configurations prepare flame- and plasma-cut edges for subsequent finishing.
The C cross-belt option is specified for workpiece distortion up to 10 mm. It works mainly at the edge area and is exclusive to the MK series, allowing multi-track loading of parts with differing thickness or distortion.
Interchangeable modules include contact, cross-belt, multi-rotation and planetary processing. The configuration can combine treatment on both sides in one pass where equipped; the exact station layout must be chosen for plate condition, burr or slag severity and finish target.
