3KFWY 3-inch URO Wool polishing pad

The 3KFWY is a compact yellow knitted-wool pad for polishing and one-step correction in restricted areas. Its dark-yellow 0.5-inch foam interface moderates the wool's cut, while the 0.5-inch pile and beveled edge help control contact around small contours.

Use profile

The pad is positioned for polishing rather than maximum defect removal. The foam interface softens the response of the knitted wool so the pad can combine useful correction with a more refined finish.

Its three-inch format is suited to local repair zones, pillars, bumpers and curved details where a large pad cannot maintain even contact. The beveled edge provides clearance near contours but should not be used as a substitute for careful machine control.

Machine and backing compatibility

Center the 3.25-inch loop face on the compatible backing plate and confirm that the selected plate, thread or shaft matches the polisher. Start with moderate pressure and speed, then adjust after checking pad stability and paint response.

Care and operating safety

Prime the wool evenly with the selected compound and clean spent residue before it hardens in the fibers. Replace a pad that has separated wool, damaged foam or a weakened loop face.

Keep the pad flat enough to avoid edge loading and uncontrolled heat. Stop the machine before inspecting or cleaning, and use eye protection when compressed air or a pad-cleaning tool is permitted by the work procedure.
