With a pH of 9–9.5, the basic chemical \nelement enhances microstructural features. It works exceptionally well for polishing \nsoft, ductile or precious metals, and provides an excellent surface finish on many \nmaterials such as those listed in Table 1. \nFinalPrep should be shaken well before use to mix any settled abrasive. Since the \nabrasive can crystalize, do not let the cloth dry out. It is recommended to charge the \ncloth with sufficient FinalPrep prior to polishing to prime and saturate the cloth with \nsolution so as not to polish dry. The most common dispensing parameters for FinalPrep \nare 1-second-long pulses at 10 pulses per minute. \nBefore and after polishing, clean the samples with micro organic soap, rinse them with \nisopropyl alcohol and then dry them using compressed air spray or heat. This removes \ndebris and abrasive particulates, and reduces the likelihood of scratches on samples due \nto abrasive contamination. After use, clean the cloth with sufficient water to remove the \nsolution before storage to prolong cloth life. \nTable 1: FinalPrep Alumina Solution Uses \nGroup \nMaterial Examples \nRecommended Cloths \nPrecious Metals \nGold, Silver, Platinum &amp; Iridium \nDiaMat, Final P \nElectronic Materials \nPackages, Gold Bond Wires, ICs, LEDs, \nSemiconductors &amp; Circuit Boards \nFinal A, Red Final C, Final P \nFerrous Metals \nCarbon Steels, Iron &amp; Stainless Steels \nChem-Pol, Final-Pol \nNon-Ferrous Metals Copper, Titanium, Aluminum, Lead, Zinc, \nCobalt, Nickel &amp; Lead-Based Alloys \nChem-Pol, Final P \nGHS07 \n</pre></details>",
