(All models.) Minimum diameter is 34 mm, but inside \ndiameters as small as 22 mm can be tested by using the optional 5 mm \ndiamond indenter (19BAA292).\nWhen space restrictions are an \nissue, the touch-panel display \nunit can be mounted on top \nof the tester.\nThe HM and HV series user \ninterface has been adapted \nto include Rockwell hardness \ntesting capabilities. Versatile \ncolor screens display the results \nof statistical calculations and \ngraphics functions, etc.\n5.7-inch color LCD\n\n\nPage 4\n3\nTouch-panel display and function\nThe HR-530/530L models offer the combination of functionality and operability in a touch-panel display.\nHR-530\n(810-237)\n•Standard operating display\n•Direct hardness scale selection\nThe required hardness scale can be selected \nwith the touch panel. The initial test force \nand loading force are automatically set in \naccordance with the selected scale.\n•\u0007Curved surface compensation \nand measurement\nThe curved-surface correction function enables \ncurved surfaces, such as round bars and \nspheres, to be tested for hardness as easily as \nflat surfaces.\nStatistical calculation results and \ntest conditions can be stored \nas text data and graphs can be \nstored as graphic data.\n•Statistical analysis\nThe quality control of industrial materials by \nhardness testing uses a judgment based on \nmulti-point test results. Moreover, the statistical \ncalculation of the maximum value, minimum value, \nmean value, standard deviation, etc., is useful when \nanalyzing multi-point test results.\n\n\nPage 5\n4\n•Simple display\n•List display (mean value)\n•Multi-point test display\n•List display (5-point display)\nProvided with the navigation function to lead to each test \npoint that has been set. This display is dedicated to the \nJominy test which allows multi-point testing with simple \noperation.\nDisplays records of test results as a list. This display is \nappropriate for establishing the relationship between prior \nand subsequent test results in terms of variation and mean \nvalue.\nOnly displays a test result and scale, making it appropriate \nfor repeated testing under the same conditions.\nDisplays the mean hardness value averaged over multiple \narbitrarily specified points.\n\n\nPage 6\n5\nThe relationship between test force, optional indenter size (metric, tungsten carbide) and scale range in Brinell hardness testing is shown in the \ntable below.\nSpecifications\nOrder No.\n810-237\n810-337\nModel\nHR-530\nHR-530L\nHardness testing methods\nRockwell/Rockwell Superficial/Brinell/Plastics hardness\nInitial test force (N)\n29.42N (3kgf), 98.07N (10kgf)\nTest force \n(N)\nRockwell Superficial\n147.1N (15kgf), 294.2N (30kgf), 441.3N (45kgf)\nRockwell\n588.4N (60kgf), 980.7N (100kgf), 1471N (150kgf)\nLight Force Brinell\n61.29 (6.25kgf), 98.07 (10kgf), 153.2 (15.625kgf), 245.2 (25kgf), 294.2 (30kgf), 306.5 (31.25kgf), 612.9 (62.5kgf), 980.7 \n(100kgf), 1226 (125kgf), 1839 (187.5kgf)\nTest force control\nAutomatic (load/hold/unload)\nTable up/down mechanism\nManual (automatic braking and load sequencing)\nControl unit \nColor touch-panel\nTest force switching\nOperated with the display unit\nTest force hold time\n1 to 120s (Selectable in units of 1s)\nMaximum specimen size\nHeight: 9.8"
