A rigid \nZ-indexing spindle maintains the predefined geometric \norientation throughout the grinding/polishing process. \nDigital indicators enable quantifiable material removal, \nwhich can be monitored real-time (front), or preset \n(rear) for unattended operation. Variable speed rotation \nand oscillation maximize use of the entire grinding/\npolishing disc and minimize artifacts. The intuitive interface includes icons and is \noptimized for productivity and function.\nThe MultiPrep™ system is available with either a gear drive or \nan O-ring drive for sample rotation.\nGear Drive\nThe gear-drive system is recommended for preparing larger, \nhard, tough or encapsulated materials. It delivers non-slip \nrotation for higher load-bearing applications. \nThis drive is included in the #15-2200 system.\nO-Ring Drive\nThe O-ring drive is better suited for preparing delicate \nunencapsulated materials typically associated with TEM \nwedge thinning.
