Selection and operating checks

• Select the diameter listed for the polisher and backing-plate system; do not infer interchangeability from nominal tool size alone.
• Centre the pad on the backing plate before starting and verify full hook engagement.
• Prime the wool evenly, then use a test section to confirm correction and finish.
• Clean spent residue from the fibres between sections and replace a pad with damaged foam or backing.
