Finishing function
The roller uses non-woven abrasive material to produce a satin, matted surface. It is intended for surface appearance control rather than aggressive stock removal.
Changing the abrasive grade changes the texture and visual pattern, so a sample panel should be approved before a production finish is fixed.
Machine interface
The family is offered with different arbor bores and dimensions for several burnishing-machine types. Bore fit, face width and outside diameter must match the spindle and guard envelope.
The documented example uses a 19 mm arbor hole with 100 mm diameter and 100 mm face width.
Abrasive and speed
The documented fill material is aluminium oxide in a non-woven structure. The cited 100 × 100 mm example has a maximum speed of 5,700 rpm.
Maximum rpm is a safety limit, not a target operating speed. The lower limit of the tool and machine ratings governs the setup.
Process control
Use consistent pressure, traverse overlap and roller speed to keep the satin pattern uniform. Excess pressure can compress the non-woven structure and change the finish.
Clean the workpiece and inspect the roller for loading or damage before use; trial the selected grade on representative material.
