Tumblast Barrel Blast Machine | Wheelabrator
The TUMBLAST Barrel Blast Machine (BBM) is a batch wheelblast system for small to medium parts. A tilting barrel loads and unloads quickly, while continuous tumbling exposes component surfaces for cleaning, descaling, deburring, coating removal and shot peening.

Batch treatment
Parts tumble continuously inside the barrel so multiple faces pass through the abrasive stream during a short batch cycle. The process is designed for components that can safely contact one another while tumbling.
The barrel tips for loading and unloading, reducing manual transfer between the batch container and blast chamber.
Applications and industries
Documented duties include deburring, deflashing, paint and coating removal, rust removal, heat-scale removal, descaling and shot peening.
Typical users include forge and heat-treatment operations, automotive production, general engineering, fabrication and small stamping-part manufacturing.
Capacity range
Machine sizes span BBM-80 through BBM-300, with documented batch volumes from 80 to 300 litres. Maximum load capacity is listed at up to 800 kg.
Blast-wheel power ranges from 11 to 30 kW, depending on machine configuration.
Construction and integration
The cabinet is fully welded and protected with abrasion-resistant linings; access panels support inspection and maintenance.
Optional automation and material-handling systems can connect the machine with cooling, separation and moulding lines. Part durability, batch mass, media retention and unloading behavior must be validated before production.
