SVHC REACH Article 33 requires any supplier of an article containing Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) above the threshold of 0.1% weight by weight to provide the customer with sufficient information to allow safe use of the article. Information on SVHC in articles is currently based on the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) 'Guidance on requirements for substances in articles' (Version: 4.0, June 2017) which can be found online at the URL: https://echa.europa.eu/candidate-list-table The following items contain SVHC threshold value above (>) 0.1%: Item No. Description Substance CAS No. 200-10004 Mold release spray, hot 1-bromopropane 106-94-5 200-10006 Mold release spray, PTFE n-hexane 110-54-3 PFAS/PFOS PFAS/PFOS are widely used, long lasting chemicals, components of which break down very slowly over time. Because of their widespread use and their persistence in the environment, many PFAS are found in the blood of people and animals all over the world and are present at low levels in a variety of food products and in the environment. There are thousands of PFAS chemicals, and they are found in many different consumer, commercial, and industrial products. This makes it challenging to study and assess the potential human health and environmental risks. To some extent, due to the widespread use, it is likely that some of the products Allied sells contain these substances. Unfortunately not enough information, data or mitigation options are available that have allowed any government authority to establish a threshold of safety which will take years to determine.
