Strip, Wire & Bar Machines | Wheelabrator
Strip, wire and bar shot-blast machines clean continuously moving metal stock before drawing, galvanising, coating, straightening, welding, forming, heat treatment or rolling. Four to eight blast wheels surround the product to provide top, bottom and lateral coverage at line speeds up to 120 m/min.

Continuous material formats
The equipment handles single or multi-strand wire, narrow or wide strip, and bar or rod with different cross-sections. The work passes through the blast zone without batch stopping.
The format is intended for integration into upstream and downstream metal-processing lines.
Blast coverage
A documented arrangement uses four to eight wheels positioned around the product for exposure from the top, bottom and sides. Each wheel can be rated from 11 to 22 kW by configuration.
Coverage must account for product section, strand spacing and the specified cleaning level.
Line speed and containment
The documented maximum processing speed is up to 120 m/min, depending on material and cleaning requirement. Special inlet and outlet seals reduce abrasive leakage at the pass-through openings.
Manganese-steel linings and reinforced wear components protect the chamber during continuous duty.
Recovery and environmental systems
The abrasive circuit can include a magnetic separator, air-wash cleaner and vibratory sieve. Integrated dust extraction is available with ATEX-compliant arrangements where required.
Line acceptance should verify surface cleanliness, abrasive carry-out, seal performance, media condition and dust loading at production speed.
