Solution
A reliable, fast and reproducible process of smart clamping, semi-automated grinding and polishing as well as fully automated hardness testing on especially the spline and ball tracks was developed consisting of:
- Precision cutting with Axitom-5 and smart clamping setup to avoid pinching of cut-off wheel
- A semi-automated and mechanical 4-step grinding and polishing process with AbraPol-30 to prepare surface for hardness testing
- A fully automated CHD-measurement of 15 indentations with Duramin-40AC1
